Dr. Katia Mattos was born in Cuba and immigrated to Miami as a child. After graduating at the top 1% percent of her class, she was awarded a full scholarship to attend Florida International University.
Dr. Mattos completed a Bachelor of Science with honors in biology. Upon graduation, she was accepted to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and graduated with honors in endodontics. During her time at Harvard, she was also awarded the James N. Snitzler Scholarship for Academic distinction.
Dr. Mattos joined a select group of endodontists when she attained the highest honor in the profession, becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontists.
